Canon Laser Printer

Running Pizzapup 3.0.1 but unable to configure Canon Laser to work. CUPS install did not work.
Anyone know of a BJC model # that will work?? or is anyone familiar with LIPS driver from Japan.
Canon USA advises that they do not have Linux drivers but willing to bet that some Linux Pro in these forums knows the solution.
Do I need a driver or ppd or Ghostscript or Postscript?? Perhaps Pizzasgood will answer.
