Linksys wireless-g WPC54G ver 3

#1 Post by mimsmall »

The discussion in the wireless announcement thread covered a lot of points I don't think apply to my situation.

I have the card installed in an XP laptop. I use it to log-on in the public library, Pinera Bread and the court house. All are free hotspots.

To use them, I just click on the Linksys icon and after a short wait I'm on the web.

I would like to do the same using the multi-session Puppy iso. Must I sort through the info in the previous WPC54G post or is there a simpler procedure available.

Perhaps, there is an iso available that has this capability.

Running puppy 2.16 .

I have a WPC54G v3 working (actually detected, I still don't know if it works 100%).

I had to choose the bcm43xx driver manually from the Network wizard.

I know that different versions of WPC54G come with different chipsets, so I don't know if this driver will work with v2 or v4 cards.

Good luck
