Subject description: No sound or even recognition of the puce
 

I don't have sound, or even a snd puce registered.
Puppy216.1
Motherboard: MSI K9N6GM
Ndivia MCP61(P,S,V)
Audio: Realtek ALC888/883/861 (it's not precise on which one)
Is there a plugin available please? Rolling Eyes

Are you running an MSI Wind? I've got exactly the same issue, though other folks seem to have working sound.

looking at the latest driver from Realtek looks like ALC861 is already included in ALSA under HD Audio codec. Answer questions at the above thread and I will try to help.
