Does Puppy have driver for Sinus WLAN 154 PCMCIA card?

#1 Post by oliver69 »

This card is very popular in germany and has an prism54 chipset.
On the puppy cd is an prism54 driver with the description for wlan but with an pci interface instead of an pcmcia one. I can load the driver and an new interface eth1 is created, but no wlan's are found... is this the right driver or is something other wrong (missing support files etc.)?

In the Network Wizard (load driver) I see a pcmcia prism2 based driver.
You tried it?

Run "dmesg" to look for some clues about how the prism54 driver is loading.
I suspect it may be a firmware loading problem - Puppy contains the necessary prism54 firmware, but I don't think the naming convention is correct for the firmware files.
If true, install prism54-firmware.pet from here -

Then reboot.
