Guys,
I'm planning to register for a "lecturer pool" at a multi-campus technical
college in Perth, Western Australia. They have a need for computer/IT lecturers,
and they have attracted my attention as there is a bit of an interest
among the staff in Linux -- the Perth Linux User Groups often meets
at one of their campuses.
I am supposed to give two referees. Okay, I lectured at Edith Cowan Uni
for 12 years, up until 2002, and I can get a referee from there, but that
was electronic engineering. Also, Edith Cowan Uni has sold its soul
to Microsoft. Also, its not current.
The only people who know that I'm an "expert" in Linux are on-line.
I need someone to vouch that yep, this guy has a few clues about Linux,
and who is themselves in a related professional position.
If anyone is prepared to do this for me, I need your name, position
and contact details including postal address.
The person would not have to be in Australia.
I am quite interested in doing a spot of lecturing again, but Unix/Linux
related, so that I can pass on what I'm really interested in. Those of
you who have ever been in the teaching/lecturing situation will know
that if you yourself are enthusiastic, it's contagious.
