HP Pavilion tx1000

#1 Post by mc_ruggiero »

I found Puppy last week and I love the speed and power of it. I think my hunt for the perfect distro is over. That said I am having some issues

1) I can't get any sound at start up. On my laptop the orange mute button is lit off and pressing the button doesn't help. I tried to turn on the mother board sound in bash, but that only gives me a beep.

2) I am having trouble finding any power management daemons that will work for me. I would like to know how much time i have left on my battery.

3) I am not able to scale the CPU properly.

4) my touch screen isn't working. How can I fix this?

Overall the most important issue is 1. I am trying to find a distro that sucks less battery juice then vista.

Thanks in advance.
