ScummVM 1.0.0

#1 Post by izreflexxx »

I've made my first .pet package for puppy431 from the new ScummVM 1.0.0 Source .

What is ScummVM?
"ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games*, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!" (www.scummvm.org)
*like Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max...

It can be downloaded from here:
http://www.downloadpuppy.com/data/2010/ ... 0-i486.pet

Unfortunately it will be automatically deleted after 30 days. There is nothing I can do about it...

SDL must also be installed. It can be downloaded from here:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dis ... 3-i386.pet

Have fun!

Your package had a libflac missing, and link to icon was incorrect,I have repackaged including SDL so no libs is needed to run

you can download here (never expire) full package (it has libflac and sdl)
http://www.silverdollarsolutions.com/Pu ... 0-i486.pet

you can look at my package to improve your packaging abilities (that are not too bad at moment)

plus, I have reduced executable scummvm compressing with upx (3 Mb about instead of 9)

Hi Dingo!
Thank you for improving my package!!! I think it would be nice if it could become part of the puppy package manager....

Thanks for this package, very nice.

Any chance someone could compile the latest '1.1.0' version.

The ScummVM site only has Debian, and Fedora downloads.

Is there a way to install one of those manually in Puppy?

Which Puppy version are you using? The Debian package might well install (through the Puppy Package Manager), although you won't get a desktop/menu icon, and may have to go dependency-hunting.
[ Puppy 4.3.1 JP, Frugal install ] * [ XenialPup 7.5, Frugal install ] * [XenialPup 64 7.5, Frugal install] * [ 4GB RAM | 512MB swap ]
