Is there a utility for building with Unleashed packages? |
|
I'm interested in making SFS files directly from unleashed packages.
I also want to be able to include alien packages into the SFS files.
If there's a GUI utility for something close to this it'd speed up my efforts.
If there's a CLI utility it'd still help & I'll make a GUI for it to build SFS files.
Or if there's some info about using unleashed (Wiki?) please point me to it.
Any help is appreciated... Terry

Not that I know of. They aren't too hard to deal with though. Basically, a PETget is set up with the hierarchy already (ie it comes as my_package/usr/bin/whatever, my_package/root/.whatever, etc.). There could also be an image in the my_package/ directory, and pinstall.sh and puninstall.sh scripts, along with a specs file. Most packages just have the extra image. I don't know why that image isn't just in the correct place in the hierarchy though. It would be much more clean.

I've gotten the unleashed core file: puppy-unleashed-core-2.14.tar.gz
But I can't find a working site that has the packages for it, including ibibilio.
Does anyone know where to get the 2.14 unleashed packages?

I looked extensively & it appears that ibiblio doesn't host Puppy Linux anymore!
There's NO "/puppy" folder at ibiblio, AT ALL... What's up with that ???

It was there a couple days ago! It's not on nluug anymore either, but that just mirrors ibiblio, so if ibiblio loses it they would too.
Barry's dev blog doesn't say anything, so maybe it's just a glitch in the system or something.
