Installed the hamachi.pup on Puppy 2.15CE but keep getting the error "bad response from tuncfg". Any help would be appreciated to this novice user.

sh-3.00# hamachi-init
hamachi-init: path /root/.hamachi already exists (use -f to force using it)

Initializing Hamachi configuration (/root/.hamachi). Please wait ..

generating 2048-bit RSA keypair .. ok
making /root/.hamachi directory .. ok
saving /root/.hamachi/client.pub .. ok
saving /root/.hamachi/client.pri .. ok
saving /root/.hamachi/state .. ok

Authentication information has been created. Hamachi can now be started with
'hamachi start' command and then brought online with 'hamachi login'.

sh-3.00# hamachi start
07 14:57:39.429 [18199] tap: bad response from tuncfg - 02000013
07 14:57:39.429 [18199] open('/dev/net/tun') failed with 19 (No such device)

I had a similar problem with openvpn.

Try doing a modprobe for the tun device i.e.

# modprobe tun

Then try again.

I have never used hamachi but my guess is the virtual device /dev/tun is not setup.

Thanks for modprobe tun command. I am up with my network. http://files.hamachi.cc/linux/README and all the commands works fine.

I get Hamachi to connect and it sees the other computers but I cannot connect or ping them. Any ideas on how to correct this?
