Hi,

I released PuppyLinux2.16 Japanese Edition RC1.

I was able to do it by cooperation of Mr.nyu and members of a Japanese Puppy forum.

Size of an iso file becomes approximately 115MB.

Website: http://openlab.jp/puppylinux/
Sorry Japanese only.

Screenshot:
Background picture is called "Inu-Hariko", a japanese traditional dog toy.

Ah yes! I remember when "Cherry Blossom's" release was announced as well and how several of us were very taken with the release---especially with that very adorable wallpaper!

Yon? Perhaps you could be so kind as to tell us where, or post us a direct link, of where we may obtain that wallpaper? (Sorry, I didn't visit the website as I don't read Japanese.)

I wish you good luck and great success with this release Yon! You are doing a tremendous amount of work for the advancement of Puppy, and Linux in general, amongst those whose primary language is Japanese and we appreciate it so very much! :)

Domo arigato gozaimasu!

Eyes-Only,

I succeeded Puppy Japanese version from Mr.Nyu.

Because he is making another Chinese versions, he is busy.

I am making a Japanese version while contacting Nyu.

Perhaps that kind person is Nyu.

....................................................

Hooray" for Nyu.
Maybe this can be addressed.

I used the last Japanese Puppy in Japan and gave some away.
Very handy...please continue the good work.

Kawaii desu!!!!!!

I've only begun to learn Japanese, but if I ever get better at it, I'll download this for practice. And all the menu items are in katakana, so I can actually read them--yes! Is this available on live-CD, too, or must it be installed??

silverojo,

Puppy Japanese Edition only translated menus and documents from original Puppy.

You can boot it from live-CD, no need install to hard drive.

Had a look thx. Very nice. 8) Turns out that one of my gals (15) is a huge fan of stuff Japanese. Knows the hot bands & songs, draws stuff & is even teaching herself the language. I saw an interesting movie last year called Tokyo Drift. Now they're doing that type of racing in the States.

jonyo,

I have corrected my new English site by Mr.nyu.

You can read it more easy.

Also my child is a fan of Satoshi TSUMABUKI/actor, Ayumi HAMASAKI/singer, Mika NAKASHIMA/singer. appeared in the movie.

She sometimes uses Vine Linux.
