My TabletPC has two built in microphones. I know for sure one of them works in Puppy. They're for voice dictation as set up under Windows XP Tablet Edition.

Since I almost never use MS now that my Linux TabletPC does its primary purpose of grading papers using digital ink, I'm wondering about voice recognition software.

I searched and noticed some mentions in the forums, but not much. Perhaps I missed something.

I figure I'll look around, but if anyone knows anything about what's out there...

I found Xvoice http://xvoice.sourceforge.net/. I don't know how hard it would be. I'll probably try it, but I move at a turtle's pace. I'll post as I go. Hopefully someone will beat me to it.

I got Puppy to sing - but it was about a year ago and quite a process
you need symphony, miditcl and permission from these guys (which they readily gave)
