Great filemanager with a tree like the Windows Explorer, and 2 file-panes for easy drag&drop to copy files.
With a right-click, you can easily extract or create archives.
I did not include the slow imageviewer and texteditors and rpm-viewer.
Now with Unicode support and icon-themes.
UPDATE: version 1.19.2:
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/File_Managers/xfe-1.19.2.pet
mirror:
http://puppyfiles.ca/dotpupsde/dotpups/ ... 1.19.2.pet
It requires the Fox-library 1.6.23:
Puppy 4:
http://dotpups.de/puppy4/dotpups/Multim ... 1.6.31.pet
mirror:
http://puppyfiles.ca/dotpupsde/puppy4/d ... 1.6.31.pet
Puppy 3 and older:
http://puppyfiles.org/dotpupsde/dotpups ... Vector.pup
mirror:
http://puppyfiles.ca/dotpupsde/dotpups/ ... Vector.pup
This library from Vector-Linux supports smooth fonts.
This dotpup also includes:
- shutterbug (create screenshots)
- Adie (Texteditor)
- Fox-calculator
Adie is able to load/save binary files, and the calculator is very easy to use, though it has several functions.
I also made a developer pack of the library for people, who want to compile using this lib:
http://puppyfiles.org/dotpupsde/dotpups ... -devel.pup (1 MB). This is not required to run XFE!
But it has no support for smooth fonts, so you'd better get the one from Vector.

Hi Mark! Salut!
Last night I was playing around with my VectorLinux 5.8 install (which I've since lost but that's another story) and guess what they have? The very latest Fox engine along with an updated XFE (0.98.1 I believe the number is now).
Have you had the chance to see this yet Mark? It is simply incredible! One thing that always put me off about using XFE was the very bad font support. I have bad eyesight quite often with my illness (comes & goes) so the fonts were difficult to read. This is why I stopped using XFE even though I loved its many features.
Now? It has system font support (or so it seemed to me) and the entire interface looked so much better Mark! This better font support comes by way of the Fox engine it seems because I installed that and XFE, and yet the fonts in my old Adie in VL5.8 also changed! Smile
Unfortunately I installed the new Xfce 4.4.0 that they have for VL5.8 and this, since it requires an older HAL from the one of my Freerock Gnome, it downgraded my HAL---and completely broke my KDE. No matter what I did to fix KDE, re-install, upgrade, etc., it remained broken. So I wiped the partition. Doesn't bother me---my Puppy partition is what matters! Wink
But when I saw the new XFE/Fox I said, "I HAVE to tell Mark this in case he doesn't know!" Any chance for we in Puppy to have an update? If I say please a lot of times maybe? LOL! Very Happy
Sorry for bothering you with this long pri. msg. Mark. I hope you are in good health and that work is going well for you!
Take care mon ami! Porte-toi bien, okie?
Amicalement,
