pcdlite-0.2

#1 Post by 01micko »

Hello :)

I have produced a cut down version of pCD for really slow systems. I have been testing it extensively on a 486 50MHz with 32MB ram and it is performing quite well.

Nothing fancy here, just a basic gui with back, stop, play and forward buttons, refresh, eject and quit. Don't expect more features! Please report any bugs.

Code is entirely based on pCD. Thanks zigbert.

It runs fine on Puppy-2.18, BarryK's revamp of puppy 2, should work ok on oldish pups but will work better on newer ones, depending on the gtk version.

I recommend to use this if you have 64m of ram or less otherwise pCD should be fine with your system.

Have fun! :D

Changelog
version 0.2
bugfix- some stray code, thanks Kenny-M
call to internet was useless, now can display tracks- thanks Kenny-M
added ptooltips- thanks zigbert

Depends on ptooltips and getcurpos which will be in the next Puppy but you can get them here

Mick,

I haven't tried it, but you put Ziggy's ptooltips there? Should you state this dependencies and where to get it? (link) just reminding you bro..since 4.3 beta will include ptooltips as default but other 4 series don't have ptooltips
