'Been a bit buzy & just getting back to puppy. Maaaan, still can't get over how FAST puppy is after coming off some other (they all feel like) dinosaur systems, linuxs' included.

Some real good suff I stumbled on too with pup & will pass along but ..
Want to try to deal with this pupget prob here on this laptop.
Doesn't want to download anything..all downloads failing (red box showing)
Forget what may have led to it.
Thoughts?
May just start over; nothing much going on on this setup.

Maybe you use a network proxy.

I think I started this lap (gateway mx3410) with live cd 2.12 & am now on live cd 2.13. Downloaded a bunch of stuff from pupget, lotsa fiddlin & stuff... & at this point..any download attempt from pupget results in a "failed download"..have no clue why.
One main prob i discovered was that I had saved (the original..from the start) the 'pup save file' to a partition, on this laptop, that is reserved for restoring win xp. (verbotten)
Didn't know what to do about that.

..bottom line.. decided to move the pup save file(s?) from the "verbotten" partition to the main partition.
Prob it's all messed up

Haven't used this laptop for at least a wk...could be more. Didn't have any probs before though (the odd thing yes). Had a look at the link provided.
Bottom line, all downloads failing; either from nluug.nl or ibiblio.org.
I'll try another laptop..see what happens.
