Can I use my USB TV tuner in puppy?

Hi Guys

I am interested in using my USB TV tuner with puppy. (it uses the philips type chip)

Has anyone been sucesfull in doing this?

I would like to know:

1) Can it be done? Is there software available
2) Can i set up channels list & guide and save the config
2) Can i record with it.

I appreciate this is probably a bit of a niche topic but any advice would be greatly appreciated - BTW i have very little puppy or linux experience.

After fumbling round looking through forums i am still clueless how to do this,

Any advice would be grateully recieved.
