1.07 for Win98: no sound in Gaim, from Soundblaster Pro

Ok so i have a windows98 pc running puppy version 1.0.7 for win98 since the others took to much mem and i only had 6mb left to run stuff. I've been trying to get my speakers to work for GAIM but there is no way to set the speakers, can someone help  PLEASE

I wonder if Puppy loads the proper module for that sound card? If you are talking about the Turtle Beach Montego II, I think you need "snd-au8830" for your sound module. If you go to the ALSA website, they explain how to load modules for specific soundcards from Turtle Beach and other manufacturers.
