Have Puppy 2.13 on h/d instal (3G ext2, + 680m Linux swap) on Compaq Armada E500 notebook..800mz cpu, 192m ram, 10g H/D..

Boots fine etc..

But when trying to locate files/text using programs..

1. Ram maxes out
2. Disk is in constant operation
3. No return on inquiry.
4. Kill command needed to terminate..

Any thoughts..

I guess the first thing to try with any problem in installed Puppy, is booting from the CD, and see if it does the same thing. Installed puppy is less tested than the boot from CD version (although for this problem it is hard to see how the boot method would matter). I have not had any problem with these programs (except the poor manners of Turma).
