There`s no french canadian keyboard layout in the list .. aaahhhhh thats nooot easyi to writeee !

seriously it should be easy to add that layout.. the name is CF i think..

the difference from france is major - it is qwerty instead of azerty but it supports accents like the é key - notice i did this in puppy using 3 differents weird keys instead of one

Which version are you using?

In 2.13 you'll find the Xkb-config utility, which lets you set the keyboard -- you'll need to choose CA and then the "french" variant.

Barry had a blog about it here's what he said

Quebec console keyboard
February 22nd, 2008

Botanic has created ‘qc.map’, a keyboard layout file for the the console (X not running). I have put this into the ‘kbd’ package and upgraded the version number, it is now ‘kbd-1.12-1′. I also modified /etc/rc.d/rc.country to show the information “(Quebec, Canada)

Those fixes have been applied to Dingo and presumably also applied by the 3.02 developers as Tronkel and other are following my blog announcements.

There's nothing really to backport -- just open the updated files Barry mentioned in his blog and you'll see what needs to be added/updated.
