Cant upload pics in myspace

#1 Post by ecomoney »

Just one to report from the cafe, users cant seem to upload pics to their myspace profiles. Using puppy 2.15ce and flash 9 (with all usual flash fixes installed....I think). Works fine on the disney site and on youtube. Pictures start to upload but when progress bar get to 100% then firefox crashes.

Which fixes have you applied to firefox? Is it a 2.15ce thing? Thanks for checking this one, its actually more important than it seems out here.

my Firefox is just the standard Firefox package downloaded from mozilla.com and unzipped ... i run it in a folder named firefox2 on /mnt/hda11 ... i start it from this script:

#!/bin/sh
# roxapp wrapper 0.0.1 - GuestToo - Dec 14, 2005
[ -r /tmp/firefox2.lck ] && exit
> /tmp/firefox2.lck;(sleep 2;rm -f /tmp/firefox2.lck)&

export MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1
export MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=/mnt/hda11/firefox2/plugins
export G_FILENAME_ENCODING=@locale,UTF-8,ISO-8859-1
export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/mnt/hda11/firefox2

MSG=`which gxmessage` || MSG=xmessage

$MSG -timeout 2 -buttons "" -bg "#d0ffd0" -borderless -center -title "Firefox" "
Firefox is starting" &

exec /mnt/hda11/firefox2/firefox2-start "$@"

you probably wouldn't need most of those lines

i don't think Flash is involved in uploading files to myspace (though there may be Flash objects on various myspace pages, including possible web bugs)

thanks, will try it out, perhaps we can put those nasty little flash bugs to bed once and for all :-)
