Subject description: How to access shares on anther Linux PC

I have Puppy, Grafpup and Muppy on my workstation and my wife has PCOSLinux on hers. How do I link the two so that we can share files? There is plenty of help for Windows connectivity, but Linux? or is that too simple that it has just escaped me?

Kevin

Maybe not the transparent sharing you are looking for, but recently I installed the ftp server on one of the Puppy machines, made an anonymous user and did gftp from the other Puppy machine to this server.

Thanks, Mark, for reminding the thread.
Getdir is installed, but I don't quite well see how to put it to use.
Is the Muppy-smb valid for 212 also? I didn't se this referenced in the thread.
(212 has puppy-basic now I think)

I use it in Muppy006, which is based on Puppy 2.12.

run Muppy-smb in a consolewindow, that should open the dialog.
If not, please report the errors you get.

Then click on "share" on 1 computer.
After a while (some seconds to 2 minutes), the dialog appears again.
Then click on 1 of the 2 mount-buttons, and wait a moment.
Then you should see the shared folder in Rox.

On the second computer, you can click on the mount-button immedeatly, as you usually need only a shared folder on 1 computer.
