I use slacko puppy now and I wanted to install jdownloader, but every time I try launching the "jd_unix_0_9.sh" file, he says:
"No run action specified for files of this type (application/x-shellscript) - you can set a run action by choosing `Set Run Action' from the File menu, or you can just drag the file to an application.
Note: If this is a computer program which you want to run, you need to set the execute bit by choosing Permissions from the File menu."
Which program should I use, or must I do something else?
How to run .sh programs in Slacko? (Solved)
Re: Run .sh applications
Select the file, press Ctrl-P, then tick all the boxes under "Exec".Gryph wrote:Note: If this is a computer program which you want to run, you need to set the execute bit by choosing Permissions from the File menu."

hi Gryph
right click on it, and choose permissions, then choose 'a+x (Make executable/searchable)' and press ok
then left click on it to run the installer..... i think it requires java installed
