At least two packages of RC2 work for me. But this

sounds like the problem that is common when starting Mplayer from the menu. What happens if you start it from Rox or a terminal?

 -framedrop       enable frame dropping (for slow machines)

fine, so you should drag /usr/local/bin/gmplayer on your desktop for easy access Smile

Do the LIRC modules in

LIRC-0.8.1modules-k2.6.18.1.pup

work for Puppy 4.0? From what I've found, Puppy 2.16 was the last one to use the 2.6.18 kernel. For newer puppies, do we need LIRC modules compiled for the 2.6.21 kernel? If so, are those available anywhere?
