I was looking for something a little more advanced than gtkcat and this is all I could find that isn't dependant on gnome, kde, or python.

Thanks, plinej. Maybe this will turn out to be the cataloging tool I've been searching for, for my library of mp3 audio books. Smile

Gwhere was in most pups, still in Quirky 7.2.

The PET is found all over the place, for example:

"pendrive as disk to get it scanned" I'm pretty sure the program has a 'Browse' icon for opening a file (actually directory) selection window. Simply choose the folder where the USB device is mounted.

Subject description: euh, not so easy... scanning a pendrive with Gwhere

A pet is available, merci dear colleagues.
How to use gwhere will be my secont step.
I got success in scanning a pendrive, i must retrieve how to do it, but it's possible. euh, not so easy...
The spirit : i prefer learning how to use apps provided by Puppy in its default menu than import new ones. Pfind is very fine, but gwhere is there too, for scanning CDs or DVS titles, but it can do more.
screenshot here
Postscriptum : I hold a backsave of an old DELL on a pendrive. I want extract pictures which where there. It was a chance to try Gwhere. But sure, i have other tools under the hand.
