How to put gnome-ppp in Puppy 2.12?

#1 Post by Firefox »

Hello Everyone
I need a dialler that has a button to turn of the horrible screechy sound of my modem that wakes people up of a night.
Puppyv202 had gnome-ppp that worked great but was removed in recent versions. Can someone please compile it to run on v212B2 or for the new Bonanza.
I tried downloading the tar gz it installs the menus but requires a new wvdial v1.05 and i cant find this, or a package in PSI.
Is there a way to grab it from the ver2.02?CD. I thought ISOmaster would do it but it wont look at puppy cd at all - complains its not ISO compliant and wont open the squash file - yet its recomended for puppy!
Thanks for your help and to Barry for producing a great Linux.
:)

Thanks Mark,
I never knew the site existed. I downloaded the wvdial file v1.5 and it worked fine.
