See straw-viewer (currently v 0.0.5)
Alternative/follow-up of Gtk-Youtube-Viewer by the same author, trizen, a work in progress.
The main differences are that it's based on gtk3 and that it's using the invidious API, see https://invidio.us/ . Pet packages (perl module dependencies included, exception may be for Bionicpup 64-bit, see below):
Bionicpup 64-bit:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/mjw ... 4.pet?dl=1
(if it doesn't work, install the full perl package from PPM (even if it's marked as "already installed")
Bionicpup 32-bit:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9gz ... 6.pet?dl=1
Dpup Buster 32-bit:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/h15 ... 6.pet?dl=1
Dpup Stretch 32-bit:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ko2 ... 6.pet?dl=1
Default and recommended video player is mpv, here's a 32-bit pet in case it's not included (i.e. in Bionicpup 32-bit)

Recommended is to run "Gtk-Youtube-Updater" from menu first (and once in a while, to update), it will install/update youtube-dl (helper application) in /usr/local/bin, without youtube-dl, many video's won't play.
To be able to download or "Run from terminal" edit in Preferences to this:
Code: Select all
terminal => "/usr/bin/urxvt",
terminal_exec => "-e %s",
Also included is command line program "straw-viewer", for usage, type in terminal:
Code: Select all
straw-viewer --help
