I needed a laptop one day
But I new what the salesman would say:
"An Apple a day, keeps the doctor away
If you buy Hewlett Packard you're knackered!"

Lucky I got a Dell!

Haven't seen you around Jack since G+ demise. How have you been?

I wouldn't touch Apple with a full hazard suit and a bargepole.

I had one to work on once for a customer and there was little I could do to help.
Even their software on other machines clogs the whole machine up with software and is pretty much impossible to remove since it puts hooks into nearly every section in the registry.
It is often easier to re-install from scratch.

Not really a limerick

nomadBSD

Last night on distrowatch
I did see
nomadBSD

Thought in my head
that's BSD, not mad?
No, they said it's nomad!

nomad like EasyOS?

Let's try and see:
dd'ed it to USB
Launched on my 2 boxes
what did I see?

nomadBSD with i915 looks nice
with gma500 no go
a wannabe nomad
no nomad
yes mad, so sad.
really sad and slow.

nomad is no go and thicker
but Easy is quicker.

hooks into nearly every section in the registry.
so no longer unix like? Related to the move to Intel cpu etc...

Yes I feel helpless when their stuff appears,
it would drive me to several beers (if i drank)
but lets wait and see,
if this waste can procee.....d
for another 25 years...

sorry

mike

ps neighbours beer soddened escapade ended up decorating downstairs with loo roll and a marrow and a lightbulb in the gutter...the latter confused me.
