If you work from home.
You get sick.
Can you call in and say: "I am sick and going home"?
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

Or do sick people go to work place office, because everyone is working from home? No one is in the actual work place office.

Yes you can get self certificate as usual and then get a doctor's note.
The company will, as before, still be able to check up on you.
