DpupBuster CE 64 and 32 bit Subject description: DpupBuster CE 64 and 32 bit |

this is the continuation of the dpupbuster thread.
.
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=1031716#1031716.
Those who use the previous version is no longer compatible with this because they changed the places of the bookstores. so the devx will not work either.
It is the new base dpup Buster 64, using the latest woof-ce.
I really like this woo-ce. They are doing a great job. All congratulations deserve.
the kernel he uses is 4.19.23 dpupbuster64
As everyone will know, this is based on Debian Buster.
Minimalist desk JWM .
Use PULSEAUDIO.
RETROVOL was replaced by PASYTRAY.
Pulseaudio is more compatible, many programs use it (skype, firefox, Simplescreen recorder).
It should be clear that pulseaudio is only working in root. is not walking in SPOT..
Pkg - CLI package manager ( Thank you sc0ttman).
I love this program, and it works great. You can use apt-get to install programs.
Also Pkg as the PPM, they use only Debian Buster repo.
DeaDBeeF
Gnome MPV
Firefox.
Change the language of firefox.
PPM select the language.
Changes from dpupbuster64 Beta 3
fixed bugs of
cups , perl 5 , samba , arp-scan , pnscan gtk, system-config-printer, libcap , deadbeef ,libopus and fontconfig.
added programs
Take a Shot!
Peasyport
PupMenu
Dunts
cbatticon

I downloaded a copy of the iso 2 different times on 2 separate machines. The first time I used DD in Q4OS 3.8 (debian buster) to flash drive in sdb. My desktop could not find a bootable usb device when I attempted to boot from that thumb drive. The second copy was downloaded to my windows laptop. I attempted to use Etcher to make a bootable thumb drive. However Etcher complained about the absence of a bootable partition in the image. Which would explain why the issue with the first attempt.
I can try this again and see what happens.

New frugal install to internal SSD replacing version 79.0.2 Created a Save folder and rebooted. All tested installed packages working excellent.
The issue of the error when attempting to load hid_multitouch which causes a 60 second pause does not occur in this current release. Boot is occurring as expected.
Josejp2424 thanks for creating this puppy, it is a really nice puppy, really well polished. Great job.
Only issue is inx-3.0.32 i won't run after being installed by PPM or PKG, both identify that there are no dependencies, however when run give pelrl errors. I installed the old inxi-2.38 version ,which runs OK.

Hello josejp2424
Thanks for this, yet again, beautiful and neat build. You really make some awesome Puppys!

What a wealth of good Puppys come from it!
I see you went from midori to firefox quantum.
Though I did like midori too, I think this is a good choice.
This 64bit Pup runs in my i5 laptop as snappy as a 32bit.

Clicking on the time in the lower tray is set up to execute minixcal, currently nothing is executed when the time is clicked.
The file ~/.jwmrc-tray is set as:
<Clock format="%A %d %B %Y - %R">minixcal</Clock>
It should be:
<Clock format="%A %d %B %Y - %R">exec:minixcal</Clock>

This iso Doesn't Boot for Me |
|
Like TiredPup I "dd-ed" the iso to a thumb drive, and no boot. I understand this is a beta, but I'm adding my experience so you won't think it's peculiar to one user.

I was not able to install my brother laser printer using the foomatic compressed ppds: "filter failed". PPM seems very different from previous version: every time you install or remove a package you must restart it to see the changes. PPM install one package at a time and it's not possible to download deb packages and dependencies to make an sfs with alien2puppy. My vlc sfs from 7.9.0.2 does not work anymore.

I have got aware that some compatibility 32 bit libraries are already installed. I have got working my brother laser printer without the 32 bit compat sfs and installing the original 32 bit drivers by the retired 64BitInstaller (from rcrsn51). Thanks.
