Subject description: In newer Puppies

I have noticed that in BionicPup32 and ScPup32 the petspecs file is not being created when running dir2pet to create a .pet package.

If I substitute the script from a slightly earlier Puppy such as Stretch it works OK, so perhaps this is a change in Woof-CE ?

Hi OscarTalks,

Well, use the dir2pet script from "slightly earlier".

It wouldn't be the first time the lordly woof-CE devs introduce errors in
perfectly good scripts, would it? They let us measly lab rats do the testing.

in the abstract only.

The dir2pet from bionicpup32-8.0 0-uefi.iso (03/16/2019) works, the dir2pet in bionicpup32-8.0 1-uefi.iso (03/25/2019) fails. A test to retain existing petspecs (-k option) was introduced in that time frame and fails, somewhere around line 470 I believe. I'm using the one from 8.0 0.

Just to see... Patched it to handle -k, -s options and whether a pet.spec exists in the source dir a bit more gracefully. Probably will still use the version from 8.0.0 though as I usually use it 'straight-up'.
