Subject description: Need an update, thanks.

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to get a hold of Pencil2D for puppy.

I've tried all links from here:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=28513

but they don't exist anymore.

If someone has one, I will be for ever grateful.

Thanks.

Hallo, frenchtoast. And to 'the kennels'.

Pencil2D, huh? Despite being heavily into graphic design, that's a new one on me. Research shows the site to be here:-

https://www.pencil2d.org/

If you hit the Downloads tab along the top, you'll see that Linux packages are only available as AppImages now. These are the Linux equivalent of Windows PortableApps; you can stick it anywhere you like, click on it, and it'll (usually) run.

Both 32- and 64-bit are available. Looks like it's had a 'makeover' since that 10-yr old forum post....

I'm in 32-bit Tahrpup 6.0.6 ATM. Downloaded it, made it executable (Rt-clk->Properties, tick all 3 'Execute' checkboxes down the bottom, hit 'Refresh', then 'OK' & exit).....and then fired it up. Bingo!

It runs. Not all AppImages are this easy to run; some give all sorts of errors, but it looks like the packager has done his job properly. Nice one. I've got a new 'toy' to play with, now.... Thanks for 'drawing' my attention to it!

Cheers.

Mike. Wink
