progress - Coreutils Progress Viewer Build Status

Bonjour,
progress is a command that looks for coreutils basic commands (cp, mv, dd, tar, gzip/gunzip, cat, etc.) currently running on your system and displays the percentage of copied data. It can also show estimated time and throughput, and provides a "top-like" mode (monitoring).

Not always: it depends on the PPM. I first tried to find it using the PPM of Puppy Precise, but didn't succeed. So I compiled it directly from GitHub. Xenial PPM has it indeed though it is an older release than the 0.14. Of course, the main purpose was just to draw attention to a little-known program that can be very helpful for some Puppy users :wink:.
