LibreELEC USB-SD Creator & Mintstick

#1 Post by labbe5 »

There is a fine GUI tool to install LibreELEC on a USB flash drive or SD card.

LibreELEC is for Kodi. A minimal distro to run Kodi. And LibreELEC USB-SD Creator is the tool to download and install the image. A checksum is done by the app.

Puppy community could look into this script and see if it can be used to download Puppy ISO, or Debiandog ISO, and install them on USB flash drives and SD cards. It seems to me to be a good script for that.

To get your copy of LibreELEC USB-SD Creator : https://wiki.libreelec.tv/libreelec_usb-sd_creator

For an executable script, you do :
chmod +x LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-32bit.bin
A GUI will be launched by doing : ./LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-32bit.bin

Enjoy!

mintstick

To get your copy of mintstick : http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mintstick/

The UI is pretty simple and there’s nothing special really about this tool. Still, it should be a great addition to your desktop and make formatting USB sticks as trivial as it should always have been.

Mintstick is not branded and can be used as is, in other distributions.

MultiBootUSB install multiple live Linux distros and other operating systems to a USB disk and make it bootable without erasing existing data.
