Yes, I've tried it and I got quite impressed. Good work!
Now, due to job pressures, I was obliged to make the jump to 64bit so I had to leave my beloved dpup stretch 7.5 RC2 32bit.
Nonetheless, I was lucky to find dpupbuster64 8.0.0. So far, a worthy succesor

The voting poll is confusing as many of the Puppys that are listed are actually thoroughbred Puppys and not derivatives.

I can't at all consider a DebianDog a derivative of Puppy, since it is a variant of DebianLive. But others on here have said the same about it being a bad fit for the poll. It is certainly the most full-featured/frugal-installable/runnable-in-ram/capable Puppy-sized download OS available on the forum, but I don't see why it is listed in a Puppy derivative list so I won't vote for it.

As someone else said, some of the others on the list are actual Pups, and not derivatives. IMO, best Pup ever was either Puppy 2.17 or Puppy 4.3.1. After that the only ones I felt particularly positive about were Slacko 5.3.3 and GuyDog 5.0.1 (which was very fast/resource friendly as far as I recall). All of these proved to be very solid, fast, and reliable.

I think it's good that you're picking older Pups as favourites rather than always going for the latest ones. It you liked Puppy 4.31 (a good choice IMO), you might be interested in Darry's recent update, which runs some recent browsers and so is very usable today;

Tahr 6.0.5. I also use its kernel with Racy 5.5 and Precise 5.7.1

I think I will declare the best puppy ever as:
"The one I just finished making for myself"

It runs on an EEEPC-701 and this much bigger box.
It has all the things I need on a computer.
The only difference is speed.

BTW: Editing a large video on a 600MHz machine is a long way from fast.
It did, however, finish the render after a few days.

When I found Tahr several years ago it was perfect. Then Tahr 64 was perfect. Then I found Xenial 64 and it has been perfect so thats my vote. The Tahrpups have been so user friendly I no longer try other distros.
