recycle a file : not shown in recycle bin [Solved]

#1 Post by d_vineet »

I tried to remove a file (either by del key or by rgt-click -- move to trash).
It got removed from the directory.
I expected that the file would be sitting in trash can.
But the can is empty.
I tried it from ROX as well as pcman. (ROX is my default FM).
My puppy is Xenialpup 64bit. Frugal install on HDD with /ext4 filesystem.
Is any setting reqd for recycling?

I tried it from ROX as well as pcman. (ROX is my default FM).
In Rox, right click on something and from menu select trash.
That should put it in the Puppy trash.
Access Puppy trash from trash icon on desktop.
Or drag and drop from Rox window to the desktop trash icon.
Works in my install of Xenialpup64 7.5

Pcman has it's own trash. Not sure where it is, but it is not Puppy trash on desktop.

In Puppy.
Delete key will delete. It is gone, deleted.
Delete key does not work in Rox.
In Rox delete is done from the right click menu or highlight ctrl+X.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)
