Hello
Has anyone got zenialpup running on an Intel Atom z8350 processor. I would like to get a ASUS VivoBook E200 laptop that has an atom z8350 processor, 2gb ram and 32gb ssd running windows 10. Would the processor be a problem and would I be able to partition the ssd to install zenialpup, preferably 64 bit.
Any help appreciated.

Xenialpup64 7.5 should work OK on that processor.

I would install it to a USB flash drive, and try it, before doing an install to the SSD.

The Lick installer may be of interest to doing the install to SSD.

Thanks bigpup, I haven't bought the laptop yet and wanted to know if Xenialpup would work. The Lick installer looks most interesting.

Laptop touchpads are the only thing that is hard to make work in every possible laptop.

You may need to do some tweaking to get the touchpad working correctly.
Settings, need a driver, etc.....

However, a mouse plugged into the laptop should just work.

I have rather given up the atom z8350 as a cpu as everyone seems to have trouble with linux and I am not advanced enough, the same with a chromebook, even more. I do need a touchpad as it is to replace a tablet and would need me to carry a mouse as well.

How about a Lenovo Ideapad 120s running win 10 with an intel celeron n 3350. I would eventually delete win 10 and run xenialpup. At first with Lick installer you mentioned, dual boot.
Any ideas on that possibility.

I haven't done a full search. But I figured you should be aware of this post: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Ide ... -p/3788179

I just obtained a Lenovo T40 and had the devil of a time attempting to get it too boot from a USB port. The above is not how to do it on the T420.

That puts me off that one Mike, it seems windows 10 and chromebook laptops are similar they don't want any other system installed.
