#1 Post by linuxcbon »

Hi,

I compared different browsers on my PC with bionicpup 64.

http://dromaeo.com/?v8
GNOME WEB (aka EPIPHANY) 3.28.1 average score 840 runs/s (Total)
WATERFOX 56.2.7.1 average score 730 runs/s (Total)
BASILISK 2019.02.11 average score 730 runs/s (Total)
SEAMONKEY 2.49.4 average score 720 runs/s (Total)
PALEMOON 28.4.0 average score 715 runs/s (Total)
VIVALDI 2.3.1440.57 average score 700 runs/s (Total)
GOOGLE CHROME 72.0.3626.96 average score 700 runs/s (Total)
FIREFOX 65.0.1 average score 680 runs/s (Total)
OPERA 58.0.3135.79 average score 650 runs/s (Total)
SLIMJET crashes and buggy

Can please you compare different browsers in the same system ?

Cheers

ps : I try to keep this list updated with the latest browsers releases, that's why it's updated so many times.

Conclusion : Chrome and Firefox are the fastest.
Palemoon is SLOOOOWWW...

Can please you do these tests and give us the results here ?
(ps : opera doesnt work in my xenialpup 64.)

Cheers
I'm guessing you either have a crap load of ram or didn't have that many javascript heavy tabs open.

I have 3GB RAM and only one tab open : the one with the tests.
Try it and tell us the results.

Updated test results with latest palemoon 28.0.0. You can see it's much faster and getting closer to firefox and chrome.

nice but you need to compare different browsers, because one browser alone doesn't mean anything.
The goal is to compare browsers.

I just tested FIREFOX 65.0 , very disapointing speed when comparing to other browsers.
(ps : when testing, you must test different browsers , one after the other....
on the same os and same hardware, because one result alone doesnt mean nothing,
so you need to compare browsers with each others, like firefox against seamonkey against chrome against palemoon etc etc)
