Puppy doesn't have a registry to clean and as for browser cache...make sure all tempory files are in the /tmp folder and then they will get cleaned up each boot.

However, if one is running wine then I don't know. Does CCLleaner run under wine?

I run fresh everytime, so I don't need any such softwares.

But it's a hassle though, no auto-logging on any website, or any other things that cookies facilitate.
But I am used to it.

I'd be less interested in CCleaner running under Linux than perhaps Recuva and Defraggler... ;-)

Defraggler works way better than the crappy Window's defrag programs (and I suspect it would be a lot faster to hang that Windows drive off a Linux port, and defrag it while not operating from it... :-D

Bleachbit does it well, I think, although I personally prefer manually cleaning, best IMO to learn how to do it.

hamoudoudou

just start a new pupsave

as drunkjedi , just start a new pupsave and transfer from the old one your personal files.
all these tools as CC cleaner do not improve anything .. on the contrary.
Cache is here to get your computer faster. To empty it when you have memory available is stupid. It's exacty like your brain, don't erase what you know, that will oblige yu to learn again..

The Linux version of Bleachbit works for me.
https://www.bleachbit.org/download/linux
In Xenialpup I used the Ubuntu (xenial) download package.
One of the Debian ones would also probably work.

Here is a pet package.
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=112832

It puts two entries in the menu.
One to run as a normal user.
One to run as root (administrator).
Does not really seem to matter which one you use.
Bleacbit says it is running as administrator in Puppy.

Clinton really gave Bleachbit a lot of free advertisement!

Just used it to clean out Firefox.
Recovered 32MB of space.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)
