I put together "vlc_3.0.1_nodeps-bionic-i686.pet" for UPup bionic_beaver (upupbb) 18.05, if anyone is interested. All dependencies are in the pet, and it has been tested.

Download, vlc_3.0.1_nodeps-bionic-i686.pet:

Thanks for this, festus. Working perfectly in Bionic, on a frugal install to HDD.

Cheers!

That's because of two things. One, if a file isn't downloaded for a certain amount of time, DataFileHost automatically delete it from their servers. And two, DataFileHost has been unreachable since at least Xmas, so I suspect the site no longer exists.....

You can get it from my G.Drive, if you like:-

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WzpXBC ... sp=sharing

(No guarantees it'll work for you, but that's exactly as I downloaded it myself originally.)

Thank you Mike Walsh,
for making it available and for the information about DataFileHost.
A quick try on UpupBB has been successful

You're very welcome.

All Puppy stuff I download, and everything I package/put together myself, gets uploaded to the Drive. That way, it's always there, and always available for sharing....

Frequently comes in useful.....like here.
