hplip_print_scan-3.16.11.pet. Link Broken.(SOLVED)

#1 Post by BJF »

rcrsn51's excellent directions on installing printers/scanners contained links to forward and backward compatible HP drivers. The forward one is hplip_print_scan-3.16.11.pet.
In the past I have installed the forward facing one on a couple of machines successfully but can't find where I archived it to use now on an ArtfulPup install to run on an EeePC. And the link in rcrsn51's article cannot be found now in Mediafire.

If someone has a copy of the .pet could you please repost it?

Thanks.

There is a bunch of them here, but not that exact one.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Thank you, guys and gals. I have been directed to a link to the .pet that rcrsn51 cites in his dissertation and all is right with the world. The EeePC is playing really nicely with the HP 2540.

Cheers.

I shared my copy of hplip. I did it via PM. Am I authorized by rcrsn51 to publicly share his pet?

The HPLIP print/scan driver has moved to this project.
