PostPosted: Thu 08 Mar 2018, 01:00    Post subject:  Open the browser from Calibre's ebook-viewer application
Subject description: by right clicking on a "highlighted word"

When using Calibre version 2.18 ebook-viewer application in
slacko 5.7.0 and right clicking on a "highlighted word" in an ebook's
contents and choosing either "lookup in dictionary" or "search google for"
fails with the error message: ..... "soap" .... "no handler for https" .....

the solution (thanks to 666philb) is to execute the following code once:

ln -s /usr/local/bin/defaultbrowser /root/Choices/URI/https

in a terminal

The above is from: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=97199

(Note: This issue may not be a problem in newer Puppy systems nor
with other calibre versions)

Hope this helps someone.
