Arp Scan 1.9.5 (64 bit)
Source: https://github.com/royhills/arp-scan

I prefer Arp Scan over MP scan . It is larger in size but it as more features and is fast.
Note that peasyport also uses arpscan

Also MP scan has a bug that it won't recognize a crossover ethernet cable that I have built. Crying or Very sad

I use
Code:
 arp-scan  --localhost

Easy/Quirky and the pups have a lot of these scanner utilities. I did make a list of them, that are builtin to Easy/Quirky. Um, where did I put that?...

Not sure if this is complete, but these are all the scanner/probing type utilities that I can think of, all in Easy/Quirky, and probably in other pups:

nslookup
pscan
nbtscan
nmap
arp-scan
pnscan
mpscan

nmap might not be in other pups, and I only recently included it in Easy/Quirky builds. Coz it is a bit big.

version 1.9.5 is the most recent. I couldn't compile it on 32 bit.

The easiest way to scan the network you are in is to run any of the following commands (they all do the same thing):
Must run as root user...

arp-scan -l #Scans the local network

arp-scan 192.168.1.0/24 #Scans 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

arp-scan 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.254 #Scans the obvious range

You will see results like this:

192.168.1.10 00:0c:29:a4:16:48 VMware, Inc.

192.168.1.11 00:0e:2e:3a:c1:2d Edimax Technology Co., Ltd.

192.168.1.20 00:e0:81:31:97:47 TYAN COMPUTER CORP.
