Subject description: How fix Blueman service to send and receive files by Bluetooth

Aqui voy! (Here I go)

These days I have been customizing my Booteable USBs formated y EXT4 using Tahrpup 2.0 All runs like a charm, so i decided to install Bluman And Bluez to make possible transfer files by Bluetooth what is necesary when we do not have a cable at hand.

When run first time puppy some times Blueman works, but after create a Save Folder, or run puppy like pfix=copy and reboot, it will fail, Im not sure if software installed in Sfs file, change something.

This is what the Terminal show after run the blueman-manager command:

root# blueman-manager

SOLUTION:

First, thanks to all the members of this community who share their knowledge. Read them and searching on the web make me possible solve this problem.

To be able to start the Blueman Manager application, it is necessary to create the following script, which is intended to solve the errors shown above and perhaps others related to the D-Bus. Every time Puppy starts.

Steps:

Open Geany and edit the following:

Code:

#!/bin/sh

dbus-uuidgen --ensure &
sleep 1s
dbus-daemon --system
sleep 1s
exec /etc/init.d/bluetooth start

-Save your file with a name who remember for what it is.
-Placed the file in /root/Startup/ (to run this script each time puppy start)
-Do a right click in the file and select properties
-Go to Permissions and check program box to make to allow this file to
run as a program.

That is all! run your Bluman program and it will work, althogh it shows an error advert it will not afect to send and receive files, just close the advert window.

If exist a best way to save the script, share your comments, I am not a programmer. so I am not sure if i wrote it correct, just know it works Smile

amigodetux, if this is Tahr 6.0.5/32b, I'd remove all your "blue" stuff, reboot, then load these three packages.

Matchpoint, Thanks for your help, I have solved the problem as you can read, but I will try your solution in other installation because I am interested in the possibility of sending audio to a bluethoot device and not just files.

This is my Operating System info:

-Version-
Kernel : Linux 3.14.56 (i686)
Version : #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 4 15:19:30 GMT-8 2015
C Library : GNU C Library version 2.19 (stable)
Distribution : Puppy Linux
-Current Session-
Computer Name : X-Tahr
Desktop Environment : XFCE 4
