Try this fix.
Fix audio in Firefox 52 or newer without having to install PulsAudio.

Newer versions of Firefox may also need this:

The second part of this seems to be changing, so look toward the end of the topic posts for any new, recent info.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

Solved [Slacko Puppy-Pulse Audio for firefox]

#3 Post by veejay »

Slacko Puppy 6.3.2 offers Firefox 52.6.0 ESR. It can be installed through Puppy Package Manager (PPM).

Very simple and best.

If you don't find the package in PPM, please update the ppm. Open PPM-->configure-->update database-->update now.

Then go to //choose repositories// in the same window.

Enable puppy-common-officials, puppy-noarch-official, puppy-slacko-official, slacko-14.1-official, slacko-14.1-patches, slacko-14.1-salix (This step may be optional)

Reboot the PC.

There is a portable version of Firefox 58 with the pulse audio substitute already installed and the necessary settings changes already made.

works nice

Just downloaded and followed directions, put on slacko64 6.9.9.9 (kernel 4.4.70) frugal on a usb stick in my Toshiba Satellite c655t.

Works very nice, a bit sluggish, as compared to Palemoon, but works well and has sound!

Thanks,
Tom

Just tried the 32bit version in slacko 6.3.2, no luck.
