Thinkpad 600: "/" key gives ";" instead

#1 Post by C3 »

Also a keyboard problem
My Thinkpad 600 with puppy linux is not able to type the sign "/"
it replies "; "instead. And there are some more change differences. I tried all the Qwerty keuboard-choices in the wizard that were available, but they all gave the same response. Can somebody help me?

Hello C3
I'm using a TP 600e and the keyboard is quite OK.
I think you had better let everybody know what version of puppy you are using. I'm using 1.08.
Hope you get a more helpful reply soon

Assigning custom keys:

You could use this program, to install a generic .Xmodmap, and then delete all keys in it, that worked fine before.
Then you just have special keys left, to which you must assign the keycodes from your keyboard with "xev".

I'm using exactly the same setup, Thinkpad 600 & Puppy 2.02. Mine works fine. I selected the US qwerty keyboard in setup...nothing special. My TP is a 2645-51U.

Are you running off the live-cd with no special dotpups installed?
Does the "/" key work correctly in other operating systems?
