Which is the latest/best 2.10 Unleashed package?

#1 Post by Guest »

Which of the 2 uneashed packcages is best (2.10) version, its hard to figure out using the timestamp of the file(s)?

I would like to dive in and re-master a Puppy for thinclient using a Firefox/Citrix combo.
Also is there a way to ADD some screensavers to a build?

Thanks!

Usually, we visit Barry's news page for the latest advice http://puppyos.net/news on the newest files.

Some clients are already built-in into Puppy, but you are the first to suggest that build. Very interesting.

Thinclient build...

Well, I already have Puppy 2.10 up and working with Firefox and Citrix, but
I would like to thin out the packages, as they are not needed, nor will they be used.
If possible I would like to add some different screen savers, as there is
a place to configure them (instead of a blank screensaver)?
I have puppy on some laptops as well.
Pupy is awsome on a newer desktop.

Great, but one problem...
The clients will be not be computer literate. :)
That means, the ability to go into screensaver mode after a timeout,
and possibly a NO password+verification option.

Also I have noticed that some of the pup packages are not downloading/installing correctly...
This is on a full hd standalone install of puppy 2.10...
I will note which, and post asap.

Bob, Can you share how you configured the cirtix client? That is the only thing holding me back from ditching windows. If I can get the client working, I can ditch my VPN and use the citrix client.

I tried downloading a client from the citrix website, but upon trying to install I got a message that says there was a client / OS mismatch.

Thanks,
Paul
