I am active in genealogy research, and I have discovered some problems in my Palemoon, when viewing scanned documents located in the State Archives here in Norway. They are scanned according to an international standard, at 300dpi in 24 bit color depth. A series of documents come out with colors as shown in the bottom part of the screenshot below. Even when blocking my .moonchild productions config file, so that Palemoon automatically make a new unmodified one at startup, the result is the same.
What is happening?
Here are the links to the documents. Please tell me if you experience the same color shift.

Well, probably of little/no help as I'm on Windows ATM - but all of the documents you posted look correct here on Palemoon 27.4.2.

For what that might be worth... Embarassed At least you know they display properly for at least somebody out here in the big, wide world! Smile

Ok - I'm now booted into Tuuxxx's Stretch Pup and running Palemoon 27.4.2 SSE from Walter Dnes' post, here -

http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=965236#965236

... and indeed, the two bottom picture links you posted are displaying as turquoise and pink - just like the posted picture above. The first two links display normally.

Now on Firefox 45.9.0 ESR/Dpup Stretch, and all pictures display correctly. So, indeed a Palemoon-specific issue, it's looking like (even with older versions). Hmm...

Palemoon 27.4.2 and the second image is pinky. about:config and changing gfx.color_management.mode from 2 to 0 ... and restarting Palemoon and the second image displays correctly.

Thank you for your assistance, Moat. It is reassuring to realize that I'm not completely mad! (or, that I'm not alone! Laughing )

theru and rufwoof pointed to the solution that fixed the problem, thank you very much! Very Happy

gfx.color_management.mode
Possible values and their effects
0 Disable color management.
1 Enable color management for rendered graphics.
2 Enable color management for tagged graphics only. (Default)

Note: These values apply to Firefox 3.5 and SeaMonkey 2. In previous versions, color management was disabled by default via the boolean preference gfx.color_management.enabled set to "false".

Caveats
Without a properly calibrated monitor and a correct color profile, color management may actually make colors look worse.

For what it's worth (late to the party as usual! Laughing ), they display turquoise/pink here in Chrome 48 (last 32-bit Linux release) too, running in greengeek's 'VoxPup', which is based on Upup Raring.....

For your information, Palemoon's creator Moonchild has now set the default value for gfx.color_management.mode to 0 (zero) in Palemoon 27.4.2.
