WD 2TB external USB hard drive

I bought a WD 2TB external USB hard drive as per here

Are these solid state or a spinning harddrive?
It sounds a little like spinning but I'm not sure

They spin.

Pick it up when it is running and tilt it. You should feel a small gyroscopic force resisting your movements.
