When Tahrpup live cd main files: puppy_tahr_6.0.*.sfs and zdrv_tahr_6.0.*.sfs are copied to a usb saved session for faster boot, the session starts without any kernel modules loaded.
Is this a bug?

Have you done some kind of USB drive install? Please describe it.

First, Tahrpup 6.0 was very buggy and had a lot of issues.
That is why it has been updated and bug fixed.
The latest version is Tahrpup 6.0.6

If theses are the actual names of the files. They are not named correctly.
(*) is not in the correct name.
The files need to be in same location, as the save, on the USB drive.
3 separate files.
These two and the save.

I am not so sure putting any puppy files, on a USB flash drive, are going to make it boot better, when booting from a Tahrpup live CD.
USB 3.0 speed may help

Doing an install of Tahrpup to the USB flash drive and booting from it, would work the best.

No USB or HD installation, just a saved session.

When you exit a live cd session, puppy asks if you want to save it to the cd or to a partition of your choice.
I save it to my USB vfat partition, choose a small 512MB tahrsave.2fs (ext2) and finally opt to copy system main files from CD (puppy_tahr_6.0.5.sfs and zdrv_tahr_6.0.5.sfs) for faster boot.

Rebooting again from cd, with my usb saved session setup, loads a system without modules loaded!

If the 2 main files are removed from usb and read from cd all the necessary modules are loaded.

My topic subject was edited by admin or mod, the subject was versions 6.0.2 and 6.0.5 not 6.0
I have tried Tahrpup 6.0.6 but is too slow to start X, only after more than 2 minutes of black screen the mouse pointer appears.

Even if I didn't know that, Puppy "First Shutdown" guides you through it, no place for error.

Clearly you haven't tried booting reading main files from something faster than cd drive.
In my obsolete usb 2.0 system, reading only the main puppy_tahr_6.0.5.sfs from the cd, takes 1m17s to load.
If that same file is on my USB stick, loading takes only 6 seconds.
It depends on the device read speed but the option to copy the main file is there because it improves boot speed a lot.

Do not try to guess at what I have or have not done.

Running from a live Puppy CD was originally designed for putting saves and other files on a internal hard drive.
Being able to put them on a USB flash drive can have issues.

Now that we know the exact facts.

After it boots using the files on the USB flash drive.
Does anything not work?

The USB flash drive has one partition formatted fat32 or more than one partition?
Is this a clean fresh format or has Windows used this partition for anything?
If Windows has used it.
The file system could be fragmented.
That can cause Puppy files to not work correctly.
Freshly reformat the USB partition (this will delete all on partition) or run Windows chkdsk and defrag on it.

Try the USB drive in a different USB port.

Maybe you do not need to ask for help!!

That is one possible way of fixing the problem.
Overriding auto search is not something you normally want to do.

There are many other possible ways to fix this.

If you really want to be part of Puppy Linux.

Tell others how you did overriding auto search.

No software is 100% perfect.
You may have discovered a new bug or a new way to solve it.
