Hello Everybody,
I read Distrowatch daily and downloaded Puppy 2.1 after reading it now had support for LT Winmodems.
Was online in about 40 seconds.
I think you are going to make alot of new friends with this addition.
Puppy is now proudly installed on my Hard Drive.
Again !! Well Done !! :D :wink:

56K Internal Modem (1456VQH-T4)

Hello Everyone,
Here's some info on my modem which might help someone.
I brought an Optima Computer from Dick Smith Electronics at the end of 2003 with this Modem Card installed. So if you brought an Optima Computer from Dick Smith Electronics there's a good chance it has the same LT modem.

Below are the specs.

The 1456VQH-T4 modem is a 56K Fax/Data/TAM internal PCI controller less modem with Hardware DSP that uses an Agere Mars 3.2 chipset. With drivers for windows 95/98/98se/ME/2000/XP/NT4 with WHQL certified WinXP drivers.
