?NO MBR?

#1 Post by scsijon »

It seems that 'someone' has started on a project to create a giant cloud where everything exists dynamically and there is no need for anything like a MBR for a memory storage device.

It actually makes sense when you think onward from having partitions by name onto by GPT ID, and actually most storage devices have an individual internationalID as well as networking devices being similar with their MAC and SOL ID's and I could go on.....

I'm sure it won't happen tomorrow, but the way were rushing ahead with technology, i'm tempted to think it will be less than 50 years away.

My only worry with this happening too fast is security of information and access control. Whether anyone believes in total personal privacy still existing, I doubt is does today, let alone in the future.
